Is there a version of NNFX Algo Tester for MT5 or any other platform?

For now, NNFX Algo Tester is only available for MT4 (MetaTrader 4) and there is no version for MT5 (MetaTrader 5), TradingView, cTrader, NinjaTrader, or any other platform.

The decision to develop the NNFX Algo Tester for MT4 rather than MT5 or any other platform was made because, although MT5 has features that make backtesting faster and more efficient, it also has some significant disadvantages.

The biggest of these is the lack of backward compatibility with MT4, which means that MT4 indicators (mq4 and ex4 files) do not work in MT5. The gigantic library of technical indicators developed for MT4 makes it currently the best choice for technical analysis traders, providing far more possibilities to create a better algorithm than MT5 or any other trading platform.

The MT5 is often referred to by the professional community as the “failed successor platform.” All efforts, by broker and MetaQuotes, to “sell” the MT5 as a superior choice over the MT4 have failed, clear testament to the deep roots the MT4 platform continues to nourish across global trading desks.
