My test shows no open trades. Why?

There are a number of reasons why the NNFX Algo Tester might not produce any orders (zero trades).
See if any of these apply to you:

• First, did you have an error or warning during backtesting? Check your Journal tab in the Strategy Tester window. If you see any errors or warnings you must fix them first. You can get more help here: Error codes, Warnings Codes.
  
  
• Does the Journal tab show a "Cannot open file" error? If the NNFX Algo Tester is unable to access your indicators then trades will not be taken. See here how to solve this problem.
  
  
• Are all the indicators correctly configured? An incorrectly configured indicator may be blocking entries. Remove one indicator at a time from your configuration and see if the problem persists. If the problem goes away then the error is in the configuration of the indicator you have just removed. Check out the Indicator Settings and Configuration section of the Knowledgebase. • Are you sure that the software should have placed orders? There are cases where the algorithm is built to produce very few orders and it may happen that during the test there was no occasion for entry. To verify this, use the "Visual Mode" option to see how NNFX Algo Tester works step by step.
