Can I get a partial refund if I upgrade to a higher plan?
Yes. If you want to upgrade your plan, you can receive a partial refund, depending on the type of license you currently have and the license you need. This is a way to help you upgrade and use the features you need right away.
Note: "upgrades" are transfers from a lower plan to a higher plan. I.e. from Basic to Professional, from Professional to Ultimate, or from Basic to Ultimate.
So, the transfer of license from Professional Quarterly Subscription to Professional Lifetime for example is not considered an "upgrade", as the features included in the license plan are the same.
The calculation of the "partial refund" follows this principle:
For the lifetime license, we can make a refund of 50% of what you paid for the current license.
For subscriptions, we can refund the months you still have available. That way you don't have to wait for the subscription to end.
Some examples:
- Upgrade from Basic Quarterly Subscription to Professional Quarterly Subscription. In this scenario, the trader used the Basic plan for two months and now intends to switch to the professional plan.
So, the "partial refund" will be 3 months - 2 months = 1 month of Basic Quarterly Subscription = €13. - Upgrade from Basic Annually Subscription to Ultimate Lifetime. In this scenario, the trader used the Basic plan for 8 months and now intends to switch to the Ultimate plan and buy a Lifetime license.
So, the "partial refund" will be 12 months - 8 months = 4 months of Basic Annually Subscription = 4 x €9.9 = €39,6. - Upgrade from Professional Lifetime to Ultimate Lifetime. In this scenario, the trader used the Professional plan and now intends to buy an Ultimate Lifetime license.
So, the "partial refund" will be 50% of Professional Lifetime license = 50% x €349 = €174,5.
The "partial refund" is converted into a special discount that can be used in the new purchase. The discount is personal and non-transferable and must be used within one week.
