I want to test a great new indicator I've discovered; can I do it with the NNFX Algo Tester?
Probably. The NNFX Algo Tester has 9 different options for including external indicators in the software: Custom ATR, Custom Baseline, Two Lines Cross, One Level Cross, Two Level Cross, Line Cross With MA, Single Line Signal, Histogram/Color and Arrows. One of these options will usually work for almost every indicator.
That said, occasionally an indicator will not work in the tester. This is usually due to poor programming and/or a failure to update its value on each new candle. Also, indicators that use information from internet for their calculations or information from other symbols are not allowed.
The use of repainting indicators is allowed, but they worked as non-repainting in the software.
